Stars come together to help Haiti

The video for the new We Are The World cover for victims of the Haiti earthquake has debuted.

It was introduced by actor Jamie Foxx during the opening ceremony at the Winter Olympics.

‘Two weeks ago we found ourselves surrounded [in the studio] by a dazzling array of artists of all ages, background and genres,’ he said.

‘All of whom share a common commitment to take action to help Haiti rise from the rubble and rebuild.’

Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones, 76, co-wrote the charity single, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original release.

Celine Dion, Pink, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Scherzinger and Kanye West are among the stars who feature on We Are The World – 25 For Haiti.

Proceeds from the single will go to newly formed charity We Are The World Foundation LLC.
