The singer opens up to her fans on stage
Selena Gomez has admitted that she’s often told to sex up her image.
The pretty singer made an upfront speech during a concert in Philadelphia this week, where she confessed that she finds it tough when people tell her she’s not sexy enough.
The kids trust me, the parents trust me, and I just have to say: Thank you!’ Selena, 21, told the crowd.
Because I hear you guys. I hear what you’re telling me… the stories that you guys go through, and I have to say that I know exactly what you feel. Sometimes it is so hard.
But I have to tell you, I get it all day, every day. That I’m not sexy enough, or I’m not cool enough, or if I did this I would be accepted.’
But strong-minded Selena– who split from Justin Bieber earlier this year – doesn’t listen to the hurtful comments and wants her young admirers to do the same.
Let me tell you one thing: the sexiest thing… is class,’ the Spring Breakers star said to the sound of cheers in the audience.
I promise you that each and every one of you is made to be who you are. That is what’s so attractive and beautiful.
Please don’t forget that, even when it gets hard.’
Many have suggested that Selena’s talk could have been a dig at Miley Cyrus, who has been causing a stir of late with her saucy new image.
