Kirk Norcross has released his first Christmas single, and we reckon Ben Haenow's number one spot could be in trouble… *cough

Of all the people we expected to release a Christmas song, we did not have ex-TOWIE member Kirk Norcross up there on the list. But lo and behold! He’s only gone and done it.

Kirk‘s very first single, Who You Are (Ft Zach Knight), includes the odd Christmassy lyric such as ‘you don’t have to be alone tonight because it’s Christmas, I want the world to see you for who you really are,’ and ‘I’ve been waiting for so long to hold you under the mistletoe this year’ – complete with overpowering autotune, booming dance tunes and a CD sleeve showing Kirk crouched nonchalantly on a block of ice in a Christmas jumper.

Err, better watch out Ben Haenow – sounds like some serious competition to us!

Kirk tweeted a link to his single, which is now available to buy for £1, with the message:

So here it is guys! My 1st single ft @iamzackknight enjoy #whoyouare #Christmas #MerryChristmas #HappyChristmas

Thanks, Kirk!

This year’s X Factor Christmas song, tipped for number one (as with every other year ever) is single Something I Need: a cover of the One Republic tune by winner Ben Haenow.

Other tunes in the running for Christmas number one include:

Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
Do They Know It’s Christmas? By Band Aid 30
All Together Now by The Peace Collective for The British Red Cross charity
Real Love by Tom Odell (THAT John Lewis song)
Christmas Time’s For Family by Peter Andre
The Way That I Live by Ed Harcourt – aka, that lovely song from Romeo Beckham’s From London With Love Burberry Christmas advert. Those Beckhams can sell anything!

Who do you want to make Christmas number one 2014?
