Comedienne gets married again after split from Lenny Henry

Dawn French has married for a second time after tying the knot with new love Mark Bignell in a secret ceremony.

The comedienne – who got divorced from first husband Lenny Henry, 54, in 2010 – wed charity boss Mark, 49, in an intimate bash on the weekend.

The couple rented out the eco-friendly Scarlet Hotel near Newquay, Cornwall to hold the nuptials, which were attended by around 70 guests including Jennifer Saunders and Sue Perkins.

‘It was an incredible wedding,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

Dawn looked beautiful and didn’t stop smiling all day.

‘There was a lovely ceremony at the hotel overlooking the sea and later people watched the sun go down as they enjoyed the first drinks of the evening.

‘The weather was just unbelievable for April. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple.’

Dawn has been dating Mark – who is the chief executive of the Hamoaze House charity, founded by Dawn’s mum before she passed away – for just over a year and she has previously spoken of her joy at finding love again.

‘I started to claim my life back,’ the mum-of-one revealed.

‘It’s a life with him. I know that I will make a good life for myself with all sorts of things as armour.

‘Including stuff my new chap is teaching me that I never knew. Now my life is in Cornwall with him. I hope it is a life together.’
