Is an X Factor star, MP or Katie Hopkins to replace TOWIE star Gemma Collins on I'm A Celebrity?
Pop wannabe Jake Quickenden has been spotted in Australia after being booted off The X Factor and former MP Edwina Currie plus Katie Hopkins are also rumoured to be going in.
The reports of possible replacements come after it was claimed Gemma may still get her full pay – rumoured to be six figures (!?!) – despite only lasting three days.
Some reports suggest that ITV have a three-day rule and if you last the 72 hours you get paid in full for taking part, but this has not been confirmed by the channel.
Gem sensationally quit the show on Wednesday morning after deciding jungle life wasn’t for her.
There’s been a huge backlash on Twitter with trolls plying the TOWIE star with weight jibes – some saying she walked just to get to KFC and labelling her a quitter.
And rumours of her being paid are only likely to make that abuse much worse.
One user called strawberry223 from Northamptonshire said: ‘I don’t know who her fans are but how could anyone support a woman that has cried from the minute she got there. Yes she’s hungry but they all are. Now this is what happens when a crap show like towie takes a nobody like her gives her money for acting stupid.
‘She is spoilt and a loser. And if people didn’t watch this garbage we wouldn’t even no who the hell she was. TALENTLESS [sic]’
As soon as she arrived in the jungle Gemma wasted no time in threatening to leave complaining about the lack of food and insisted camp mates were being treated worse than criminals.
She said: ‘People who murder get treated better than this. That’s the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day.’
The reality star was in tears boarding a helicopter before the show had even started – disembarking saying she’d had a panic attack. What followed were repeated assertions that she would quit but her decision to walk has still stunned fans.
Gemma‘s departure from the jungle will be shown on tonight’s episode at 9pm on ITV.
