The former Radio 1 DJ, showed off his trim bod when he stepped out to join pal, Jamie Oliver at the opening of his new restaurant on Thursday night and we have to say – he looks totally different.

And the 42-year-old has slimmed down dramatically over the past few years, losing a whopping five stone since his Radio 1 days thanks to a diet and exercise overhaul – and the results are clear to see!

Recent shots from the Radio X presenter’s Instagram account also show his lean figure, with one snap even featuring cheekbones a supermodel would be proud of and a sexy sprinkling of designer stubble.

It’s a far cry from the look Chris used to sport when he entertained the nation as host of The Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

Chris set about losing weight after being replaced on the show by current host Nick Grimshaw in 2012.

And he says his body transformation is mainly down to a completely overhauled diet.

‘My weird problem is that I don’t eat enough now,’ the 41 year old star told The Sun, revealing he usually eats an omelette before he trains in the morning, a salad for lunch and a small dinner.

He added: ‘I don’t know what I used to think when I looked in the mirror when I was at my worst.

‘Now if I go out on a Friday or Saturday and have a few beers, I can see that I’m bloating in the mirror on Sunday.’

But he admits: ‘I fall off the wagon sometimes and buy a pack of salt and vinegar chip sticks and a pack of cookies and eat them, and I feel bad about myself and cry myself to sleep. That happens.

‘It’s really, really, really hard to lose weight. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s easier to say than to do.’

All we can say is keep up the hard work, Chris – you look great!
