The X Factor's Only The Young have been left 'deeply upset'
Just when you think the internet is safe again following all that iCloud hacking last year, along comes even more drama.
Rather than exploiting the naughty nudes of Hollywood’s finest, this time an online group of infamous hackers titled ‘Anonymous’ have targeted stars a little closer to home – in the form of X Factor foursome, Only The Young.
Why? We’re not quite sure really
After unveiling their debut music video for single I Do on YouTube last week, the band then found themselves locked out of their account 24 hours later with the track completely erased.
Not just that, but the group of hackers – who have previously tried to bring down Scientology – also wiped even more of their content from the channel.
Losing 100,000 views in mere minutes, the band have been left ‘deeply upset’ after the hackers ‘sh*t on their dreams.’
Band member Charlie George told us: ‘We’re deeply upset by the actions of the hackers who deleted the video to our first single ‘I do’ from our YouTube channel.
‘Despite the hackers posting a message threatening our personal and online security [if we retaliate], we will continue to work as normal. Thank you to our incredible fans for supporting us despite the confusing circumstances.’
Well, um, we guess that’s that then? We’re still a bit confused at it all really
Mikey Bromley, Betsy-Blue English, Parisa Tarjomani and Charlie have thankfully since regained access to the account and re-uploaded the track.
Which you can watch below. It’s actually well catchy.
