And we just need it to happen
Let’s face it, love her or hate her – Honey G is total telly gold.
If there’s anyone who can brighten up our day it’s the cap donning, sunglasses-for-all-weather wearing er… rap artist? that is Honey from North Weezy (or Anna Georgette Gilford as she’s actually known).
After rising to fame on The X Factor in 2016 and then promising to become the best rapper we’ve ever seen, her debut single The Honey G Show kind of flopped as it failed to even make the Top 100 – so we haven’t seen the star in a while.
But that could all be about to change as it’s been reported that Honey G is set for a big return to telly – and we just NEED it to happen.
According to the Daily Star on Sunday, the 36 year-old has been offered a slot on none other than Dancing On Ice, which is reportedly making a comeback in January.
After being taken off air in 2014, it’s thought ITV are looking to bring back the popular Saturday night programme, which has seen the likes of Lauren Goodger and Jorgie Porter be coached Olympic champions Torvill and Dean.
Honey G dancing the Bolero in a sparkly dress? Yes please.
A source told the publication: ‘Honey G was TV gold on last year’s X Factor so it’s a no-brainer to sign her up for Dancing On Ice.
‘She is a huge fan favourite and is loved by the whole family, no matter what their age. The big question is whether she will skate in her baseball cap and sunglasses.
‘Even the thought of seeing her in a different sparkly outfit each week is hilarious.’
The source claimed the reality star had been offered £50,000 to take part in the reformed show and added: ‘ITV are counting on Dancing On Ice’s return being a big ratings winner and they know signing Honey will be a big coup.
‘Honey has been dropped by Simon Cowell’s record label Syco so she is also keen to take part.’
It’s not all bad, then…
Although it looks like the show could have big competition as it’s rumoured that I’m A Celeb bosses are also keen to sign the star up.
Can’t she do both? Because we’d quite like to see Honey G gliding on the ice rink AND munching down on a kangaroos eyeball.
