Mel B is said to be axed from the X Factor, and there's talk of everyone from Kim Kardashian to Zayn Malik to replace her

Seems like
Mel B won’t be spicing up our lives on a Saturday night anymore. A source for
The X Factor
has revealed that it’s looking very doubtful that she’ll be coming back to
the show, and Simon Cowell has made up his mind about the decision.

It might
not be surprising to see why. The 39-year-old’s judge has always had a
straight-talking, no-nonsense approach to the show, which while some fans love,
even Mel knew that not everyone would.

‘I know I’m not
everybody’s cup of tea. I’m just me.’

And she set the
nation’s tongues wagging last series, when she missed the first night of the
weekend final, because she was in hospital with a mystery illness. She came
back the next night with no explanation and an odd appearance. Weirddd.

But it’s not all
bad blood. A source told The Mirror: ‘She is doing America’s Got Talent at the moment so
she hasn’t completely fallen out with Simon, but he wants to freshen up X
Factor.’

Strictly
Come Dancing
continued to beat The X Factor in the ratings war last year, it’s not
a shock to anyone that Simon‘s trying to shake things up on the show. And
following news that Dermot O’Leary was leaving the show after eight years, with
Olly Murs and Caroline Flack set to be hosts, it seems now that there’s going
to be a change-up with the judges as well. They’re dropping like flies over there.

So who’s in
the running? Well, as Tulisa filled in for Mel B when she was off ill in last
year’s final, and having been a judge before, she’s looking like a frontrunner.
Especially as she spent New Years in Barbados with Simon – very swish! Bookies
William Hill has got odds on her joining the panel at 8/11.

Katy Perry,
Nicole Scherzingerand Sharon Osbourne have all judged on the show before as
well, with odds on them returning to their roles, at 6/1, 10/1 and 6/1 respectively.

But there
might be some talent show beef as Simon has said he’d like to get Rita Ora on
the show and she’s in the running at 11/10.

‘I saw Rita on
The Voice and I thought she was very good. When it comes to asking her over,
you know, it’s fair game.’

And since
Zayn Malik quit his job of being the biggest boyband ev-ah, there’s been talks
of him working on solo material, being in films, and now also being a judge on.
He’s a busy boy eh? Odds on him joining the show that made him are 8/1, and
his ex-bandmate Louis Tomlinson at 4/7.

They’re not
the only friends and family of the show that we might see. William Hill have
got Irish double trouble Jedward down at 50/1 to join, and Simon’s
partner-in-crime Sinatta at 25/1. That’d be quite a style-off with Cheryl with
her palm-tree leaves.

There’s
even talk of Kim Kardashian filling in Mel B‘s spot. She’s become such a
favourite that bookmakers, Coral, changed her odds from 20/1, to just 5/1 after
receiving a wave of bets. Can you even imagine?! Kim K and Louis Walsh sharing a
cuppa.

Cheryl
Fernandez-Versini
is looking safe to stay for another year, but as always,
there’s rumours of Louis Walsh leaving. But this time, it’s looking more likely
than ever.

‘I
think I’m done with X Factor. I’ve done 11 seasons,’ he said on Irish TV last
week.

‘That’s a long time on television. I think
they’re going to change the show. I think they’re going to get new faces.’

A spokesman for
The X Factor
said: ‘No final decisions have been taken on the judging panel.’
And even Simon himself said a the Britain’s Got Talent launch, that there’s no final
line-up for the judges panel yet

Ahhh – We
can’t take the anticipation! Guess we’ll just have to wait patiently and see…
