It's week 38 in Kate Middleton's pregnancy and that means Wills is on red alert to get her to hospital in time

Every week in the Royal Bump Watch Newsletter, we bring you the latest Kate Middleton and Prince William news, as well as what’s going on with HRB (Her Royal Babyness) Baby Wales – yes, let’s call it a ‘she’ this week!

Kate Middleton, is now so close to giving birth (it could happen ANY day now) that it would be sensible for Wills to hone The Plan.

As Now has revealed, Prince William plans to drive Kate to St Mary’s hospital in Paddington, west London himself so now is the time for him to arrange a ‘practice run’ to the hospital.

This involves him throwing their hospital bag in the car and mapping the best route to get them there depending on the time of day.

(A word of advice from us Wills, avoid all roads with speed bumps. Ouch.)

Kate has been positively glowing throughout her pregnancy but at this late stage some women experience depression.

This can be the result of a multitude of factors – fear about giving birth, nervousness about the reality that a baby will soon be arriving (eek!), tiredness from lack of sleep (imagine trying to get comfortable with a football stuffed up your PJ top) and a desperation for the pregnancy to FINALLY be over.

If you feel this way make sure you talk to your midwife or doctor.

How long is she? She is now 49.8cm and, seeing as we’re getting close to a time of celebration there is only one way to compare how long this posh baby is – the same length as a Jeroboam (one of those mahoosive bottles) of Champagne.

How much does she weigh? If Kate‘s back is starting to really ache, this is why – her bub now weighs approx half a stone!

What’s she up to? Baby Wales is practising breathing and weeing and can now grasp things very tightly with her teeny hands.

Amazing fact! Well this is a bit gross, but Baby Wales may have taken her first poo. Don’t worry though the waste (a green-black substance called meconium) is either passed out through Mum’s womb or gets stored in the baby’s intestines ready for her to get rid of after she’s born.
