My weekly feature revealing who I've loved and loathed over the last seven days in showbiz
HERO: ASHLEY ROBERTS
However, that’s exactly what she did as one of the overlooked members of The Pussycat Dolls. As she revealed to her jungle mates this week, she was told to keep silent for years and let the more famous Nicole do all the talking for the girl group.
But just as the British public has come to love Nicole for her entertaining judging on The X Factor this year, this is also Ashley‘s time to shine in her own right after a brilliant run on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
For an American popstar, she’s proven herself to be down-to-earth, articulate and kind-hearted. It’s no wonder Declan Donnelly has taken an obvious shine to her.
While I’d be happy with David Haye or Charlie Brooks winning as well, I’m backing Ashley to be queen of the jungle this year.
VILLAIN: ERIC BRISTOW
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for outspoken and uncompromising personalities on reality TV – and Eric certainly added some spice to I’m A Celebrity, where most of the contestants annoyingly seemed to get on.
But he pushed me too far with his criticism of Rosemary Shrager‘s weight and Helen Flanagan‘s skin.
After all, Eric is hardly an oil painting himself. I’m relieved his moobs will be covered up from now on.
