Why I think the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth this weekend

Kate Middleton made her final public appearance at the annual Trooping The Colour ceremony last weekend, which means it’s officially #RoyalBaby countdown time. Ding ding ding!

After the darling Duchess of Cambridge revealed her due date was in mid July, the 13th has been widely speculated for when the third in line to the throne will be finally welcomed into our world.

But my inner Mystic Meg’s telling me that Kate‘s gonna do a Kim Kar-dash-ian and deliver our Royal baby this weekend!

Kate herself has said babies have their own agenda’ and this week, Now’s royal insider told me that the palace has already put an emergency plan in place for an early labour – despite Prince William‘s lovely wife having three weeks to go.

And as Miss Middie pulled out of the society wedding of the year today, it suggests to me she’s worried she could pop any mo.

Kate was all set to travel the 300 miles to Northumberland for the wedding of Tom Van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy with hubby and best man Wills who turned 31 on Friday – *clink clink*.

But then the bloomin’ mum-to-be decided not to take any chances. Veeeery interesting!

The arrival of Baby Cambridge would be the perfect pressie for the dad-to-be, don’t you think?

The Baby C Files:

The Palace insists Kate and Wills don’t know the sex of their baby.

Kate’s not too posh to push and is planning on giving birth naturally in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital where Wills was born in 1982.

Wills is still on duty with the RAF – which means he could be 300 miles away in Anglesey when Kate pops. But he’s absolutely adamant he’ll be at his wife’s side during the birth – like his father, Prince Charles, was for him. He’s even arranged for a helicopter to be on standby just in case.

After the baby’s born, he’ll take two weeks’ paternity leave while Kate’s cleared her diary indefinitely with our source revealing it’s unlikely we’ll see her in public until autumn.

An aide will leave the hospital with a piece of paper detailing the baby’s sex, weight and time of birth, which will then be driven to Buckingham Palace and pinned up. The news will then be shared on Twitter.

(And my fave!) If The Queen’s having a snooze during the birth she won’t be disturbed to be told the news – and we can’t find out until she after she does – so we’ll be kept in the dark until Her Majesty wakes up!
