Expectant dad Peter Andre's looking forward to experiencing first natural labour
‘It’ll be my first experience of a natural birth,’ the singer – whose children Junior, 8, and Princess, 6, with ex-wife Katie Price were delivered by Caesarean section – tells Now.
‘It’s a bit difficult, but there’s nothing more special than the birth of a child.’
It’s great that Pete wants to welcome his new baby in the delivery suite, but I can’t help but feel that he’ll get super-emotional during the labour. In a cringey, OTT way!
He’s already totes wet/cheesy when it comes to his kids. And when you take into account that he turned 40 earlier this year and this is first natural birth, it’s hard to believe that Pete won’t be at his vom-inducing, super-soppy best in the maternity ward.
In fact, I keep getting visions of the well-meaning expectant dad serenading his pregnant girlfriend with his hit single Mysterious Girl to try to coax the baby out.
Poor Emily! As if having to deal with all that physical pain of a natural birth wasn’t hard enough…
There is one plus, though. It’s been claimed that singing can give a woman focus during contractions, which in turn helps them stay positive during labour.
So all together now: ‘Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Mysterious girl. I wanna get close to you…’
