Pixie Lott was born in London to stockbroker dad Stephen and housewife mum Beverley in 1991.

Christened Victoria Louise, she was nicknamed Pixie by her mother because she was a tiny baby.

The singer has an older sister, Charlie-Ann, and a brother called Stephen. The family grew up in Kent and Essex.

Pixie started performing from a young age. She went to the Italia Conti Academy Of Theatre Arts and enjoyed writing songs.

At the age of 14 Pixie attended an audition for the ‘next pop diva’ advertised in The Stage newspaper. She lied about her age and claimed to be 16 but came away with her first manager.

While recording her first album, Pixie Lott continued to work hard at school and achieved straight As in her GCSEs.

The multitalented star was also writing songs for other artists by the time she was 16.

Pixie’s debut single Mama Do went to No 1 when it was released in 2009. Her first album Turn It Up followed a few months later and spawned several big hits.

As well as singing, Pixie turned her hand to acting in 2010 with a leading role in comedy flick Fred: The Movie.

In the same year she started dating model Oliver Cheshire after meeting him at a fashion event.

Pixie Lott returned to the music scene in 2011 with chart-topping hit All About Tonight and second album Young Foolish Happy. She also signed to Select Model Management.

The blonde star’s good looks have earned her lots of admirers. In 2013 she came 7th in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women In The World list.

After another acting appearance in BBC drama Inspector George Gently, Pixie released sexy track Nasty in March 2014. Her self-titled third album followed in the summer.

Pixie announced in August that she would be taking part in the 12th series of Strictly Come Dancing and soon became the bookies’ favourite to win with dance partner Tristan Whiddon.
