Before finding fame on the MTV series Geordie Shore, Gary Beadle was born to Shirley and Kevin Beadle.

Following his parents’ split when he was three years old, Gary lived with his mum and older sister Claire.

He was raised in Hexham, Northumberland and spent the first two years of his life in and out of hospital with severe asthma.

Gary – who’s often called Gaz – attended Prudhoe West First School before enrolling at Highfield School.

During his education, he was an avid football fan and captained both school teams. He also had a trial to play for Newcastle United FC.

After completing his GCSEs at 16, Gary signed up to join the Royal Marines.

His spell in the navy was only brief and he fell into a number of jobs, including tiling, before being approached to join the Geordie Shore cast.

Gary Beadle was 22 and unemployed when he was asked about the upcoming reality show so he jumped at the chance.

He moved into the Geordie Shore house – located in the Jesmond area of Newcastle upon Tyne – to begin filming with the seven other cast members.

The Jersey Shore spin-off was first broadcast on 24 May 2011.

Gary was a hit with viewers and had fans hooked on his on-off relationship with co-star Charlotte Crosby.

On 8 December 2012, he opened his menswear boutique Project 722 in Newcastle’s Metro Centre. Gary has worn most of his clothes on the programme.

The Geordie released his autobiography Gaz (And My Parsnip) on 3 March 2014. The book gives an insight to his life growing up in Newcastle and provides his best pulling tips.

In May 2014, Gary Beadle opened his own nightclub Pure in Zante, Greece.
