Lauren Goodger was born at Hackney’s Homerton Hospital in 1986. She has older half-siblings Tony and Nicola from her mum’s side.

Despite being known as an Essex girl, Lauren’s early years were spent at the family home in Bethnal Green, London.

Her parents split when she was one. When Lauren was four, her mum Cheryl decided she’d be better off living with her tiler dad and his partner Julie in Redbridge, Essex.

Lauren used to see her mum – who moved to Chigwell, Essex – on weekends. In 1994, Cheryl had a daughter named Rihanna.

At the age of 15, Lauren Goodger met Mark Wright. The pair embarked on an on-off relationship that would last for over 10 years.

Lauren fell pregnant with Mark’s baby at the age of 20. The couple decided they weren’t ready to become parents and Lauren made the difficult decision to have an abortion at seven weeks.

At 21, Lauren had a cervical cancer scare after a routine test picked up abnormal cells. Thankfully, she underwent treatment and was given the all-clear.

Both Lauren and Mark rose to fame on reality show The Only Way Is Essex in 2010, also known as TOWIE. Many of the programme’s early episodes focused on their rocky romance.

Mark proposed on-screen in 2011 but he and Lauren ended things for good five months later.

Lauren Goodger left TOWIE in 2012. She signed up for Dancing On Ice in 2013, where she was partnered with professional Michael Zenezini.

The pair were eliminated in the second round.

2014 saw Lauren enter Celebrity Big Brother. In the house, she enjoyed a flirtation with Geordie Shore star Ricci Guarnaccio.

Aside from her television work, Lauren has released autobiography Secrets Of An Essex Girl and owns beauty line Laurens Way.

In her personal life, she’s admitted to having a nose job, a breast enlargement and a laser procedure on her face.

Lauren was in a six-month relationship with jailbird Jake McLean before they split in December 2013.

She was ‘mortified’ when a sex tape of her performing an intimate act circulated online in 2014.

Since then Lauren has got back with Jake.
