Michelle Keegan was born to parents Michael and Jacqueline in 1987. The couple divorced when she was 10.

The actress – who has Spanish ancestry on her mother’s side – has a younger brother called Andrew.

Growing up, Michelle studied at St Patrick’s RC High School in Salford before enrolling at the Manchester School Of Acting.

She had a part-time job at Selfridges and also worked as a check-in agent at Manchester Airport before finding fame on Coronation Street.

Michelle Keegan landed the role of Tina McIntyre in 2007.

In 2013 Michelle revealed she’d be leaving the show the following year. In May 2014 viewers saw Tina attacked by Rob Donovan, who pushed her off a balcony and beat her with a metal pipe. The character later died from her injuries.

During her time on Coronation Street, Michelle enjoyed a relationship with The Wanted singer Max George.

They got engaged in 2011 after seven months together but parted ways in 2012, the same year she met Mark Wright.

Michelle Keegan started dating the TOWIE hunk that December and he popped the question the following September during a holiday to Dubai.

Michelle launched her own fashion line for Lipsy London in July 2014. She continues to act and has landed roles in shows including Ordinary Lies and Our Girl.

In May 2015 Michelle married Mark in a lavish ceremony held in Bury St Edmunds.
