Birth name Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales

Birthday 15 September 1984

Prince Harry made a royal entrance into the world in 1984.

Born to Prince Charles and Princess Diana, he became third in line to the throne when he was born. He has an older brother, Prince William.

During his childhood Harry accompanied his parents on royal tours, with his first trip taking place in 1985.

Charles and Diana divorced in 1996. Diana tragically died in a car accident in Paris in 1997 and Harry joined William and members of his family in walking behind the cortege at her funeral.

Prince Harry went to independent schools and eventually completed his education at Eton, where he gained two A-Levels.

He then took a gap year and travelled to the likes of Australia and Lesotho.

In 2005 Harry started his officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and became a Second Lieutenant in 2006. The Prince has twice been deployed to Afghanistan.

During his younger years Prince Harry had a reputation as a wild child. He admitted to experimenting with cannabis at 17 and became a regular on the London party scene.

He apologised in 2005 after wearing a Nazi costume with a swastika armband to friend’s fancy dress party and was infamously pictured naked during a trip to Las Vegas in 2012.

Harry appears to have curbed his partying ways though. He continues to perform royal duties, having been on solo tours to the likes of Brazil and the United States.

The Prince is also very involved in charity work. In 2014 he launched the Invictus Games, an Olympics-style event for injured servicemen and women.

For many years Prince Harry had an on-off relationship with Chelsy Davy but they split for good in 2010.

Harry started dating Cressida Bonas in 2012. They called it quits in April 2014.
