We all know that the winner doesn't always sell records!

Leanne…who? Last year’s winner of The Voice, Leanne Mitchell, went nowhere – she recently released her first album – and it’s sold less than 1,000 copies.

Ouch, ouch, ouch.

And I reckon the BBC will be wincing again as series two’s winner, announced at the weekend, was Andrea Begley.

Leah McFall should have won – it pained me to see that she didn’t.

Out of all the contestants, she was the one with the most unusual, original voice, and the competitor I was actually excited to see. The others? Snooze.

And winner Andrea, especially, was BORING – and as a blog by Now’s David Jones reads, she shouldn’t have won! Click to read here.

But, hey. Leah will have the last laugh.

One Direction didn’t win that other little talent show, known as The X Factor. Neither did JLS.

Check out Leah McFall‘s brilliant performance of Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang, below, complete with Great Gatsby-esque set design, and a tap-dancing Will.i.am.

Amazing or what?!

This girl should have won – but at least she’s escaped the winner’s curse’. I definitely don’t think we’ve seen the last of her yet.
