Britain's Got Talent hosts upset with Simon Cowell

Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reckon axing Kelly Brook from Britain’s Got Talent was the right move.

The glamour model, 29, was given the boot from the ITV show just six days into auditions after bosses realised the new format wasn’t working.

‘We didn’t ask for her to be sacked,’ says Ant, 33. ‘But it’s completely true we were annoyed that she’d been brought in because we hadn’t been told about it.

‘We arrived for work, got to the hotel in Manchester and found there was to be a fourth judge for the show.

‘She’s a great girl and she looked fabulous, but if anyone had asked us straight off we’d have said it’s almost irrelevant. It could have been anybody and it wouldn’t have worked.’

And Dec, 33, was also miffed that Simon Cowell, 49, didn’t discuss it with them.

‘We were angry about Kelly,’ he tells Live. ‘But it was because no one asked our opinion.

‘What was upsetting was that it happened in the first place. It was wrong from the start.

‘What we understand is audiences. We know what people want. What will work. It’s not just any audience; it’s a specific audience.’
