The Top Gear presenter tops Aussie polls
It’s official. Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson is Australia’s Favourite International Star.
The outspoken presenter has topped the Switched On Australian TV poll – beating off competition from QI presenter Stephen Fry, Two And A Half Men actor Chalrlie Sheen, chat show legend Oprah Winfrey and TV chef Jamie Oliver.
‘Jeremy is the sort of bloke Australians feel at home with,’ says media analyst Steven Allen.
‘He says exactly what’s on his mind forthrightly and with colour. We cannot get enough of him.’
Jeremy, 50, will head over to Australia to meet his fans along with co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond in March.
The trio plan to visit Brisbane and Melbourne a touring version of the BBC2 hit show – Top Gear Live.
