Cast have serious talks with show producers

Some of TOWIE’s best-known stars have been warned they could be axed.

Producers are reported to have held talks last week with cast members, including Gemma Collins and James Arg’ Argent, to discuss the future of the show.

Four series of The Only Way Is Essex have been screened in the past year, but bosses want to reduce that number in 2013 to stop it getting tired – and they’re also keen for the cast to up their game.

They were sat down and told the show would be coming back next year – but also what would be expected of them,’ reveals a source.

Producers said if they all wanted to return a lot of them would have to change their attitude and buck up their ideas.

There have been a lot of grumbles from producers about timekeeping by cast members, and the way the crew are treated, and they laid out these concerns during the meeting.’

The TOWIE stars also had a chance to talk about their own gripes.

The cast were able to air their grievances and complained about the long hours they are expected to film for just £80 a day,’ the source tells The Sun.

It was a bit of a clear-the-air session after all the troubles there have been.’
