The workaholic actress feels at home on soap
The actress, who’s played barmaid Eva Price in the soap since 2011, visited the set for numerous auditions over the years and always felt she’d land a permanent role eventually.
I was a massive Corrie fan from the age of 13,’ says Catherine, 30.
Without sounding big-headed, I had this weird feeling that I’d end up there. I kept being called to castings so I was in and out of the studios all the time. I felt at home there.
But when the part of Eva came up, I thought I didn’t stand a chance. The other actresses at the audition were younger than me and looked different.’
Catherine was thrilled to get the job and is still so happy on Corrie that she has no plans to go onto pastures new like co-star Michelle Keegan, who bows out next year.
At the moment I can’t imagine leaving,’ the blonde actress tells Hello!
I’ve discovered that I’m borderline workaholic but it makes me very happy. I film all day, get home at daft o’clock and go straight to bed. But that’s exactly how I like it.’
