Cher Lloyd's father says his daughter wasn't surprised about being in the bottom two

Cher Lloyd‘s dad claims he knew his daughter was going to be in the bottom two on The X Factor‘s Sunday night results show – because it was ‘leaked’ on Twitter.

Darren Lloyd rang Cher, 17, who performed John Lennon‘s Imagine on Saturday‘s live show, to prepare her for the worst.

‘We were tipped off on Sunday morning,’ says Mr Lloyd.

‘It was leaked on Twitter. We were hoping it was lies but unfortunately it was not.

‘I called Cher and told her. She was upset but was determined not to let it affect her performance.’

The judges saved Cher after her she sang an impressive version of Stay by Shakespeares Sister, sending 19-year-old Paije Richardson out of the competition.

Paije is a lovely man,’ Mr Lloyd tells the Daily Mail.

‘He said Cher would win and he was a nice bloke, even after he was sent home.’

Week six evictee Aiden Grimshaw, 18, also told host Dermot O’Leary that a friend had pre-warned him he’d be in the sing-off after ‘a leak’ on the social networking site.

But the ‘leaks’ or simply the results of online polls, say X Factor bosses.

‘People make lots of unfounded predictions on the internet about the order of the contestants based on various popularity polls,’ says a spokesman.

‘There is not a leak.’
