Fox TV bosses reportedly approached 4 other stars first
According to our insiders, Simon Cowell, 51, only managed to get the Girls Aloud star on the panel because everyone else on the network bosses’ wish list of judges weren’t available.

‘Then they moved on to Katy Perry, but she’s also busy touring and had to say no.

Even as late as last week, Fox TV bosses were reportedly in favour of giving Nicki Minaj, 26, the role over Cheryl, 27.
