Legend Prince to sing on ITV show

Prince is being lined-up to appear on The X Factor final in December.

Boss Simon Cowell, 51, is said to have convinced the legendary musician to perform on the ITV show.

Simon Cowell had been trying to get Prince on the show for so long, he is a massive fan and it is a big coup,’ a source tells the Daily Mail.

‘At the moment the plans are being kept under wraps – but it will make for the biggest X Factor final ever seen.

Simon wanted Prince on the show any way possible. An appearance at the final will be fantastic.’

Prince, 52 – who is also rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury 2011 – was initially linked to a guest judging slot during the audition stages, but a deal fell through.

Beyonce Knowles, Robbie Williams, Take That and George Michael have performed on previous X Factor finals.
