The dancer was devastated when she broke up with Brendan

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup has revealed that she needed hypnosis to get over her split from Brendan Cole.

It took Camilla, 38, three years and the help of extensive therapy from a life coach to move on from dancer Brendan, 36, after their eight-year relationship broke down.

‘I honestly wouldn’t wish that time on my worst enemy. I was in such turmoil,’ says Camilla.

‘We were lovers and we worked together. It had been us against the world.’

Camilla and Brendan ended things shortly after he was partnered with newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky on the first series of the BBC show.

She still remembers how heartbroken she felt but is now happily married to ex-Hollyoaks actor Kevin Sacre and says there are no hard feelings between her and Brendan.

The blonde has also become a qualified life coach and hypnotist herself.

‘I remember one show when Brendan kissed Natasha good luck behind the curtains as the opening credits played. I felt humiliated,’ Camilla tells the Sunday Mirror.

‘After that it was nauseating every time I heard the theme music.’
