Simon Cowell booted him off for having another contract, but Ryan now has his big chance
Ryan O’Shaughnessy thought his Britain’s Got Talent dream was over when he got chucked out by Simon Cowell for having a contract with The Voice Of Ireland.
But after being reinstated, he’s now a strong contender to win.
‘To be in the final of Britain’s Got Talent is crazy,’ Ryan told hosts Ant And Dec tonight, as he scooped the most viewers’ votes in the semi-final last night.
It was a huge relief for the young musician when he was allowed back on stage.
‘I want to thank the judges for giving me a second chance,’ Ryan told ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent site last week.
‘The reveal was such an emotional ordeal for me. I was fraught with nerves. I felt as though I’d let Simon down. Simon‘s somebody you want to please, so it felt awful to disappoint him.’
The 1D star was so impressed by Ryan‘s moving audition – which saw him performing romantic self-penned track No Name – that he gushed about it to his 2,430,147 followers on Twitter.
‘Wow , just watched Ryan’s audition on BGT. Amazing talent,’ wrote Louis, 20.
And 19-year-old Irish cutie Ryan, who’s confessed the song was written for his long-term crush, was quick to thank the 1D star for his kind words.
‘@Louis_Tomlinson Thanks man! Really appreciate it ;),’ replied Ryan.
Ryan goes through with synchronised swimmers Aquabatique who the judges chose over Billy George.
