The I'm A Celebrity winner didn't think it was fair to have Kiki take part

Charlie Brooks thinks I’m A Celebrity bosses may have gone too far when they involved her seven-year-old daughter Kiki in a Bushtucker Trial.

Kiki ended up in tears after the EastEnders actress and camp mate Eric Bristow failed the task, which could have seen them win a prize of spending time their children.

‘I signed up for this show, but Kiki didn’t. I didn’t want her to be so upset. I had no idea this was happening,’ says Charlie, 31.

‘I felt like I’d been kicked when I realised she had been behind that door.’

Charlie admits that her mother gave permission for Kiki to appear on the show but thinks she only did so because she believed the little girl would get to see her mum.

The star – who beat former Pussycat Dolls member Ashley Roberts to be crowned Queen Of The Jungle on Saturday – managed to cope with her ordeal because there were only a few days left until the programme’s final.

‘I had a film of Kiki that I would watch in my head,’ Charlie tells The Sun.

‘I would picture seeing her when I got out of the jungle – I couldn’t wait to snuggle her and squeeze her.’

ITV last night defended their Bushtucker Trial with Kiki.

‘Permission came from Kiki‘s grandmother who was with her the whole time. They were both fully briefed on how the game would work and were both happy to take part,’ a spokesman told The Sun.

‘A senior producer saw Kiki afterwards and she seemed fine.’
