The actor gets some creepy mail

Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has been left a little scared after receiving a birthday card from someone pretending to be his father.

‘Just had another fan mail card from this loon claiming to be my dad #crazzzzzyyy,’ Tweets Jack, 24.

The message on the greetings card reads: ‘Cause it’s a great big loving wish that comes straight from the heart… Happy Birthday to a Wonderful Son!’

This isn’t the first time that dad-of-one Jack – who plays David Platt on the ITV show – has been targeted by someone who thinks they’re related to him.

In 2010, he contacted the police after being sent a number of letters and photographs from a man claiming to be his real father and a priest.

Jack was freaked out. He’s had problems in the past and it’s always strange to get this kind of stuff in the post,’ a Coronation Street source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘The Corrie cast are always told to be wary of mail like this and if it is thought to be needed, security people will be contacted.’
