The Newcastle girl has been removed from the show

Sophie Kasaei has been axed from Geordie Shore after allegedly using a racial slur on camera.

The ex-call centre worker, 23, was immediately taken off the MTV reality show pending an investigation during filming of the seventh series in Newcastle.

‘Apparently Sophie was caught using the n-word,’ says a source.

‘The show bosses were made aware of what she is alleged to have said and they kicked her off the programme. She is devastated.’

The race row comes days after Sophie‘s co-stars Vicky Pattison and Holly Hagan spent a night in police cells following a fight at local club Florita’s.

An 18-year-old student allegedly needed hospital treatment after being repeatedly smacked in the face with a shoe, although both girls strenuously deny any wrongdoing.

MTV have confirmed that Sophie is no longer on the hit programme.

‘After an incident last week, Sophie Kasaei was removed from Geordie Shore pending further investigation into alleged offensive behaviour,’ a spokesman tells The Sun.

MTV and Lime Pictures have now taken the decision that it is inappropriate for Sophie to return to the show.

‘We will be reiterating to the remaining cast members that offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.’
