The judge has apologised for his controversial comment
Ofcom has received 24 official complaints about judge Jason‘s comment – which refers to a condition caused by a stroke or brain injury that leaves victims paralysed except for their eye muscles.
‘Jason Gardiner is disgusting and should be sacked,’ Tweeted one DOI fan.
Another wrote: ‘Jason Gardiner should be removed.’
Jason, 41, has also attracted criticism from the Stroke Association, with the charity’s Patrick Olszowski saying: ‘All stroke survivors deserve support, compassion and understanding.’
The Australian choreographer took to Twitter on Sunday to give his ‘sincerest apologies’ but said he thinks it’s good to ‘bring taboo subjects into the open’ – although he’s now changed tack.
‘I sincerely apologise for any offence caused,’ Jason tells The Sun.
‘That was never my intention.’
