Joey could be the next Mark Wright
But he’s not sure whether or not to head to Oz because the TOWIE cast are contractually obliged to give 15% of their fees from spin-off deals to the show’s production company Lime Pictures.
‘Joey plans to do one more series of TOWIE, which starts at the end of September, then leave the show,’ says a source.
‘ITV bosses want to make him a huge star and he knows now is the right time to go and do something different.
‘He’s in talks with I’m A Celeb, but also has some exciting solo projects in the pipeline too.’
Joey, 22, has appeared on TOWIE since the second series and is now one of its biggest stars, with over 2 million Twitter followers.
But he feels it might be time to move on after going through a painful split from his fiancée and cast mate Sam Faiers.
‘Joey still loves Sam and finds it hard having to film scenes with her,’ the insiders tells the Daily Mirror.
‘He knows that they’ll both find it easier to get on with their lives if they don’t have to work together anymore.’
