The singer will sit alongside Tom Jones and will.i.am on the panel

It’s been announced that Kylie Minogue has joined the judging panel of The Voice.

Kylie, 45, will take Jessie J‘s place on the BBC show and sit alongside current coaches Will.i.am and Tom Jones with the unannounced replacement for Danny O’Donoghue.

‘I’m very excited to become a coach on The Voice UK. I love the concept and have been an avid viewer of both series,’ says Kylie.

‘The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and The Voice UK gives us all a part to play in that. Will I be competitive? Probably more than even I imagine.’

It’s believed show bosses are hoping Kylie‘s signing will boost viewing figures of the show, which will now begin airing in January to avoid clashing with Britain’s Got Talent.

Kylie is bound to ask for some tips from younger sister Dannii who she reckons was ‘really good’ as a judge on The X Factor.

Will.i.am, 38, seems pretty pleased with the news.

‘While I will miss Danny and Jessie, I’m excited to be returning for season three and to work with Kylie and Tom,’ he says.
