The singer's record could go on sale before the X Factor winner's

Former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan is hoping to release her debut album within the next three months.

The singer – who pulled out of the show due to illness in November – has already penned plenty of tracks for the record, including her Bootcamp song Tea And Toast.

‘The plan is to write an album and have it released by spring, around March time,’ says Lucy, 21.

‘I’ve already got about 200 songs written up and ready to go, although obviously not all of those will make it.’

The X Factor winner’s album usually goes on sale around a year after the final, so if Lucy gets her record out by March she’ll be selling copies months before them.

Lucy will be reunited with finalists James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney when she performs on next weekend’s show.

‘I haven’t written about X Factor yet but I always write about my experiences so I’m sure that I will,’ Lucy tells The Sun.

‘I haven’t got a record deal yet but hopefully I will in the next few months.’
