The actor's sibling has made it through to boot camp
Robert Pattinson thinks it’s great that his older sister Lizzy has auditioned for The X Factor.
Lizzy, 31, is believed to have got through to the boot camp stage of the competiton after wowing judges with her ‘soulful’ voice – and Rob is ecstatic for her.
‘I’m like so ridiculously proud of her,’ says Robert, 28.
‘I would never have the balls to do it in a million years. I can’t believe she’s done it. It’s amazing.’
In the past, Lizzy has performed backing vocals for Rob’s Twilight films and her vocals can be heard on chart hits including Milk & Sugar‘s Let The Sun Shine.
Despite having Rob behind her, Lizzy didn’t tell X Factor producers that she was related to the star and is keen to progress through the contest on her own merit.
‘It was really important Lizzy was judged for her voice on the show and not as Rob’s sister – that’s why she hid the link at first,’ an insider tells The Sun.
‘But she couldn’t keep it under wraps. During her audition she was asked about him but all she said was that he was very supportive.
‘She’s not the kind of person to cash in on the connection.’
