TV chef's Italian eatery is ruined

Rioters targeted Jamie Oliver‘s Italian restaurant in Birmingham during the country’s terrifying night of violence on Monday night.

The celebrity cook’s London cooking school – based in Clapham – survived untouched but his eatery at the Bullring shopping centre was gutted.

‘Sadly my restaurant in Birmingham got smashed up windows all gone whole
area closed, cant open, staff and customers all safe!!thankfully jox,’
Jamie, 36, Tweeted yesterday.

Jamie, who works hard to help disillusioned young people get their lives back on track, was thankful to the emergency services for their hard work after the rioting.

‘Enough tweeting thank u all 4 support!xx thanks to the police & emergency services for what there dealing with the communities are amazing!’ he later wrote.

‘Birmingham restaurant got fixed up quick, sad for many of the other shop owners especially the small family run businesses in this climatex.’
