Zoe Alexander admits she 'lost it'
A furious X Factor contestant swore at the judges and pushed a female producer after she failed to make it through to boot camp.
Pink impersonator Zoe Alexander, 22, from Caerphilly, South Wales, was hopping mad when Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger called her ‘average’ during the show’s Cardiff auditions, which were broadcast last night.
‘It all kicked off once Zoe got no votes from the judges,’ says a show source.
‘She exploded in a rage and threw the mic down then started swearing.
‘Her abusive language was bad enough but then she started striking out at cameras and even a female producer.’
Zoe and her dad Glen Smith – who was with her at the audition – say she got so angry because she felt that The X Factor bosses had set her up.
Glen alleges they invited her to London, filmed a video of her singing and told her she was ‘what they were looking for’.
He claims they also guided her on her performance and chose a Pink song for her to sing in front of the judges and a 2,000-strong audience.
‘I lost it and said they were a bunch of c*nts,’ Zoe tells the Daily Mirror.
‘I want to apologise to the judges and the audience – but they set me up to humiliate me.
‘I didn’t mean to swear or push anybody but I feel they’ve ruined my career.’
An X Factor spokesman says: ‘Her claims are ridiculous. She was treated like any other contestant and she kicked off. We even gave her a second song to sing. The judges all agreed not to put her through.’
