Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh all decide to save Kitty
In Sunday night’s X Factor results show, Marcus Collins was the first contestant to learn he was safe.
Then Misha B, Johnny Robinson, Rhythmix, Janet Devlin, Craig Colton, Sophie Habibis, Frankie Cocozza and The Risk learned they were through.
That left Kitty Brucknell, 26,and Samantha Brookes, 31, in the bottom two and the girls had to perform in the sing-off.
Louis Walsh said he was ‘in a trance’ because he was so shocked that viewers hadn’t voted for either Samantha or Kitty.
Perfoming You Make Me Feel Like (A Natural Wioman), Sami went first, then Kitty sang The Edge Of Glory, the same number she chose for her audition.
Kitty and Samantha hugged each other as they waited for the judges’ decision.
Gary Barlow admitted it was tough to chose but decided to send home Sami because he found her a bit old-fashioned.
Kelly Rowland also decided Samantha should go but Tulisa Contostavlos picked Kitty to get the boot.
To avoid deadlock, Louis Walsh decided to vote with his heart and agreed with Gary and Kelly that it was all over for Sami, who vowed she would sing for the rest of her life.
