Actress Jennie has it all planned out
Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine is proud of the domestic abuse storyline she’s involved in on the ITV soap.
Her character Fiz Stape has gone on the run with Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall) after abducting baby Ruby because they know her mother Kirsty is violent.
‘I’m really pleased that Corrie chose to tackle the issue,’ says Jennie, 29.
‘They’ve done it was the right characters and a lot of sensitivity.’
But in real life, Jennie‘s life isn’t so dramatic. The actress is looking forward to spending a quiet and cosy Valentine’s Day at home with boyfriend Chris.
‘I want to be welcomed home from work with a cup of tea, then enjoy a meal that I know someone has slaved over all day – probably a nice roast dinner, with a pudding,’ Jennie tells We Love TV.
‘Then I’d like to have full control of the remote for one night and be allowed to watch Pretty Woman on a loop.
‘In fact, that sounds so good, I’m going to tell my partner Chris to sort it out.’
