Ella was a favourite to win The X Factor but it's all over

She was the only girl left in the The X Factor competition, but now Ella Henderson is out of the show.

The 16-year-old from Grimsby ended up in the sing-off with James Arthur, 24, last night and lost out, despite a lucky bracelet tucked in her underwear.

‘I have a ritual before I go on stage,’ she admitted.

‘I close my eyes, take a deep breath and I say a little prayer to myself about what I want from the performance, and to remember why I’m doing the show.

‘At the end of the ritual, I always say that I’m doing it for myself and nobody else.

‘I always have to have my lucky bracelet on me somewhere, whether it’s tucked in my bra or inside my shoe, I always have it with me.’

Guess James‘ natural charm had a stronger effect.

Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh chose to save Ella, Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow saved James – leaving a deadlock.

Ella exited because she received the fewest viewers’ votes.
