Presenter has increased security at her own home
The incident took place after the 31-year-old’s first day on the ITV show last month.
Emma had just returned home from the studio and was preparing for a nap.
‘Naturally when I heard noises coming from my neighbour’s apartment I went to check everything was OK,’ she tells the Mail On Sunday.
‘I was more than surprised to be confronted by two burglars, who ran off when they saw me.
‘I was very shaken up and called the police.’
Emma, who replaced Fiona Phillips on 8 January, has now increased security at her own flat.
