Actress grateful for her role as Tanya Cross

Jo Joyner is grateful to EastEnders for paying her enough money to fund costly IVF treatment.

The actress is leaving her role as Tanya Cross to spend more time with her twins Freddie and Edie, 3, who she admits might not be here were it not for the soap.

‘Thanks to EastEnders, I have bought a house and I’ve even bought my kids (thanks to the expensive IVF treatment]!’ says Jo, 35.

‘I’ve genuinely set our family up so I can take some time out and just be with them. And maybe do some theatre again.

‘It’s given me stability and security for my future.’

Jo, who joined the soap in 2006, doubts that she’ll add any more kids to her brood with hubby Neil Madden after the struggle of having their twins.

‘They weren’t easy to have,’ the mum-of-two tells TV Magazine.

‘They are probably my only children.’
