The Destiny's Child star's got a lot of thinking to do over Christmas
God dang, someone throw a pen at Kelly Rowland!
She’s only gone and been offered a sensational amount of money to stay on The X Factor judging panel next series.
Now can reveal that Simon Cowell‘s prepared to double the singer’s salary to a whopping £1.5 million.
He’s been so impressed by Kelly that there was even talk of her joining the line-up of the US version of the show, but we’re told he’s now set on securing Mariah Carey, 41, instead.
A source tells us: He says Kelly‘s performed incredibly well as a mentor and has the entertainment value down pat.
‘And that’s why he’s offered her £1.5 million to convince her to sign up for next year when the time comes.
He can see that she knows what she’s talking about.
‘She’s professional but adds a bit of feisty spice to the mix, which is what he’s always after.’
Simon, 52, may have his work cut out to get her to sign on the dotted line, though.
Kelly‘s rep says that no final decisions for 2012 have been made yet.
