Former Busted singer might go back to soap

Matt Willis prepared for his role in EastEnders by getting in bed with wife Emma – to learn his lines.

The singer has revealed that Emma, 37, helped him to memorise scripts and even tried to sound like a proper Londoner.

‘I always learn lines better when I have someone reading them back to me,’ says Matt, 30.

‘We’d sit in bed and read EastEnders scripts. It was great fun and really helpful.

Emma got into it. Her cockney accent is hilarious.’

Matt – who appeared in six episodes as Stacey Branning’s boyfriend Luke Riley last month – has got a busy year ahead as he’s heading off on tour with supergroup McBusted.

But he hasn’t ruled out returning to the soap in the future.

‘I have got a pretty full-on year,’ Matt tells The Sun.

‘But this was nice to do and I have the chance to come back if I want to.

McBusted are touring until the end of July then we are talking about South America and Japan at the end of the year.

‘I can’t see myself doing more EastEnders in this year’s schedule but who knows what will happen next year.’
