The daytime ladies do all they can to win a National Television Award
If they haven’t already, our favourite Loose Women have proved they’re game for a laugh.
Tune in to Loose Women all this week and you’ll see Carol McGiffin as Lady Gaga, Denise Welch donning a military suit a la Cheryl Cole, Coleen Nolan as Vicky Pollard and Sherri Hewson dressed up like Elizabeth 1.
On Monday’s show Gaga Carol donned a lobster hat, Lycra shorts, fishnets and crime-scene tape.
‘I enjoyed it, it was good fun,’ says Carol, 50.
‘I love Lady Gaga, I really do.
‘We did a bit of an amalgamation of all her different outfits – the lobster, the tape and the meat.
‘I was a bit nervous about putting on the fishnets and the Lycra shorts, but I think I got away with it.’
There is method behind the ladies’ madness – the’re hoping playing dress up will persuade viewers to vote for the ITV daytime programme as Best Topical Magazine Show in the National Television Awards.
‘If we won the National Television Award it would be such an honour,’ says Sherrie, 60.
‘Everyone works so hard to make sure Loose Women keeps going from strength to strength.
‘The show deserves it. It’s a wonderful show to be part of.’
