Talk show host is 'attacked'
Jeremy Kyle has reportedly been pepper sprayed whilst filming a TV documentary in Magaluf.
A nightclub bouncer called Leon claims that he attacked Jeremy, 49, because he felt the presenter was giving a bad impression of partygoers at the Spanish holiday resort.
‘He was walking down the strip with a camera making it look sh*t,’ Leon, 40, tells The Tab.
‘I don’t like that sort of publicity – it’s not good. It’s been happening for a while now and it’s definitely not the way to promote a place.’
Onlookers claim that Jeremy – who it’s reported did nothing to provoke the alleged attack – covered his eyes as he and his crew fled following the incident on the Punta Ballena strip on Friday night.
‘Jeremy was in agony and it took a while before the effects of the spray wore off,’ a source says.
‘He and his crew had been trying to keep a low profile but he was instantly spotted. It was 11pm on a Friday so it was very rowdy.
‘Loads of people were shouting his name and some of the crowd were angry because they thought he had come over to slag off the resort.’
Jeremy is believed to have returned to the UK and police and ambulance crews were not called to the scene.
The TV star hasn’t commented on the incident but ITV tell The Sun: ‘He and his crew were part of a large crowd which was affected by what may have been pepper spray going over their heads.’
