Report sitcom to be created for party girls rubbished

A tabloid report that Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan will unite for a new US show has been dismissed as rubbish.

The stars were said to be in talks with network HBO about a Marc Cherry sitcom described as a cross between Ugly Betty and Friends.

But this has been categorically denied.

‘Home Box Office has no such plans for a comedy series by Marc Cherry to star Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears,’ says a spokesperson.

The Daily Star also reported that Ricky Gervais has been approached to work on the show – but representative Katie Phillips says this is also ‘totally untrue’.

The girls were said to be playing aspiring stars in Hollywood.

‘Paris will play the most ambitious of the three,’ the insider claimed. ‘Her character is supposed to be a hot fashion designer.

‘Britney’s character is an aspiring singer. And Lindsay Lohan, 22, is little like Matt Le Blanc’s wannabe actor character from Friends.

‘She’s obsessed with men and fast food.’

Meanwhile, Britney will reportedly star in a film biopic of her own life. (Let’s hope that’s true!)
