Sterling didn't want to end up like his cousins


With his dad behind bars for burglary, Rough Copy‘s Sterling Ramsey could have fallen into a life of crime.

But he tells Now how he broke away from his troubled past, which saw his cousins Nigel, 27, and Denzil, 24, given lengthy sentences for ordering the murder of gang rival Tarek Chaiboub, 17, in 2008.

I was a little bad boy, but I was never bad bad,’ says Sterling, 25.

There were lots of gangs in Sheffield where I lived.

‘It would’ve been easy to go the wrong way, but luckily I chose the right path – and look at me now.’
