General Larry Platt makes judges laugh with original song
An American Idol contestant is expected to become an internet sensation after debuting his song ‘Pants On The Ground‘ on the show last night.
General Larry Platt left the judges in hysterics when he auditioned in Atlanta with the original track.
‘Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, you’re looking like a fool with your pants on the ground,’ he sang.
General Larry, who even did a split during his routine, later explained his tune was about encouraging people to pull their trousers up.
Unfortunately, the 62-year-old didn’t make it to the next round because he is over the show’s age limit of 28.
But judge Simon Cowell, 50, wished Larry well and even shook his hands.
‘I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit,’ he said. ‘I don’t think this is going to be the last we hear about you.’
You can watch General Larry Platt‘s audition when it airs on American Idol tonight at 8pm on ITV2.
